Aqua Seal Elastic – Liquid waterproofing membrane
AQUASEAL ELASTIC is a ready-to-use, fast-drying, flexible liquid membrane for interior and exterior applications.
It is used to form waterproof layers before the installation of ceramic tiles, natural stone or mosaic finishes in:
• balconies and flat roofs;
• bathrooms and shower enclosures;
• laundry rooms;
• saunas and damp areas generally.
AQUASEAL ELASTIC can be applied directly to:
• concrete;
• cementitious screeds and screeds made with special binders;
• plasterboard, for interior use only;
• existing ceramic-tile, terrazzo and natural-stone floors;
• cementitious render.

• Substrates must be fully cured, sound, clean and dry, and free from oil, grease, cement residues, old paint and any other substance that may impair adhesion.
• Cementitious substrates must be sound and dry, with no rising damp.
• All surface dust must be removed completely.
Apply AQUASEAL ELASTIC in two even, thin coats, approximately 0.4 mm per coat, using a long-pile roller, brush or trowel.
Once the first coat has dried, becoming darker and matt, apply the second coat at right angles to the first. Under conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity, and when applied to substrates with residual moisture below 3%, this is approximately 1 hour later.
The total dry thickness of the two coats must be at least 0.8 mm in order to form a substantial, continuous and flexible membrane.
Ensure that the membrane contains no gaps caused by imperfections in the substrate.
While still wet, AQUASEAL ELASTIC can be removed easily from tools and surfaces with water.
