PU Floor Aqua – 2K water-based polyurethane coating
Waterborne two-component coating or varnish for industrial floors and many other substrates, including decorative cement screeds, ceramics, stone, wooden floors, wooden surfaces, metal surfaces, galvanised steel and stainless steel. It combines outstanding durability with ease of application and environmental compatibility, thanks to its very low VOC content. Component B is required not for final drying, but to increase the mechanical strength of the cured product film. It has excellent flow and produces a smooth, very hard surface. It does not absorb water, oil or other contaminants, making the coated surface easy to clean. Special additives provide enhanced resistance to scratching, shoe scuffing, greasy residues and similar soiling.
The surface is extremely hard yet sufficiently flexible to accommodate substrate expansion and contraction without cracking.
Ideal for areas where cleanliness and hygiene are essential, including food-processing areas.
Provides excellent adhesion to almost any substrate, including ceramic tiles and galvanised steel. Also ideal for protecting vertical surfaces such as walls.
Completely transparent and does not alter the colour of the coated surface. Will not yellow in exterior applications or over time.
Suitable for interior and exterior use.
Can be pressure-washed safely at 80–140 bar using detergents.

• Remove any silicone and oil contamination from metal with NITRO THINNER or EPOXY THINNER.
• Clean and dry the application surface thoroughly. Abrade the surface thoroughly with sandpaper.
• Apply the product in two coats in accordance with the product instructions.
• Ideal application conditions: temperature 10–30°C and relatively low humidity.
• Prepare all surfaces so that they are clean and free from loose material, grease, salts, rust and all other residues.
1. Complete all necessary substrate preparation beforehand.
1.1. On clean, hard surfaces such as industrial floors, ceramic tiles and galvanised steel, PU FLOOR AQUA may be applied without a primer by applying one additional coat of varnish.
2. Apply PU FLOOR AQUA in two or three coats, depending on the condition of the substrate and the required result. Additional coats increase film thickness and improve mechanical, chemical and other resistance properties.
• Stir component A thoroughly in its original container while slowly adding and mixing in component B.
• The pot life is 45 minutes. Do not use material that has exceeded this working time.
1. No thinning is required; the product is ready to use.
2. The next coat may be applied after 2–4 hours.
3. Exercise care when using the surface during the first 15 days, until the coating has fully developed its final properties and resistance.
