Rubber One – Chlorinated rubber swimming pool paint
BLACK RUBBER is a rubberised bituminous coating based on oxidised bitumen, solvents and rubber. It dries quickly, provides excellent adhesion and forms a protective membrane with high resistance to water, dilute acid solutions and alkalis. It is used to waterproof and protect concrete and metal surfaces, including roofs, basement walls, foundations, underground drainage pipes and concrete or metal tanks. It can also be used as a primer for bonding bituminous membranes when thinned with 10% petrol or white spirit. It provides excellent adhesion to concrete, lightweight concrete, metal, wood, stone, brick and plasterboard.

• For best results, the application surface must be dry and clean.
• To ensure a uniform finish, use packs bearing the same batch number.
• To ensure correct product performance, never apply more than 150 microns wet-film thickness, as this may cause drying problems and blistering during solvent evaporation.
• On new cementitious substrates, allow the mortar to cure fully before application: 2 months for sand-cement mixes and 3 months for sand-cement-lime mixes. This is necessary to ensure good coating adhesion.
• Do not use RUBBER POOL COATING in combination with insulating materials other than those recommended in the Technical Data Sheet.
• On cement and fibre-cement surfaces, thin the first coat with 20% SL501 THINNER. Wait 24 hours before recoating. Where necessary, thin the product as described above according to the application method.
Clean tools with SL501 THINNER.
