Correct surface preparation is essential to ensure proper coating adhesion.
Thoroughly clean the surface to be painted with an alkaline household cleaner, such as soft soap or soda, removing all dust, grease, oil, flaking old paint and loose material. Rinse extremely well and allow to dry thoroughly.
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply two coats of SMALTOPLUS to a clean, dry surface using a roller, brush or spray gun at the appropriate dilution. Painted surfaces may be put into use after 4 days.
The coating reaches its final properties and adhesion 28 days after application, depending on the shade. Darker shades require more time.
Important: Do not subject painted surfaces to intensive cleaning, scrubbing or impact until 28 days have elapsed after application.
Do not use a steam cleaner on painted surfaces.
During application, keep tools wet in the container or paint tray. Drain as much paint as possible from the tools back into the tin, then clean them immediately with warm water and soap. Once dry, the paint can be removed only with strong detergents. Do not discharge wash water into groundwater.
